This past week we had our
annual “Go Big or Go Home” walleye season opener! With close to 50 in
attendance, everybody was fed and enjoyed the informative seminars from the
knowledgeable Lund Pro Staff!
Helpful tips on how to be
safe and successful on the lake are always an asset when preparing for a new
fishing season. Some helpful fishing success tips include:
Never leaving a
spot that you have had success in without first changing your presentation.
When the fish stop biting, switch to a new lure or bait - it may be just the
ticket to turn them on again.
Always sharpen
your hooks! Even new hooks that are of less quality that are not sharp out of
the package. Using the appropriate hook hone or file for the size of the hook
is imperative.
Elements
of nature can make or break a day out on the lake. When fishing in windy
conditions, most anglers head for the sheltered shoreline. Don't be afraid to
head the opposite way. Fishing wind-blown points has potential for big payoffs.
A highlight of the event
beyond fishing tips was the live on location CJOB 680 radio broadcast brought
to us by our friend Craig Stapon.
Special
thanks goes out to Craig Stapon, Jason Gauthier, Roger Stearns, Darrin Bohonis,
Bobby Kalid & Steven Klopak.
Thanks your
knowledge and support!
